1955 Olds Recording Bb trumpet - 147806

This is a 1955 Olds Recording trumpet in in very good original condition.  It has most of the original lacquer remaining, with some speckled areas and minor areas of missing lacquer on the slide crooks. This horn is very straight and there is no evidence of any past dent or solder repair.  

All slides operate smoothly.  Valve action and compression is very good.  Based on the cosmetic condition of the trumpet, it does not appear to have seen a lot of use and this would explain the very good valve compression. 

The Recording model has the offset middle valve and balanced forward valve design; the Re-O-loy bell, more commonly known as "red brass" for the higher copper content; the spring loaded third valve trigger; and the distinctive bell engraving. 

This is a very early Fullerton model, made in the first batch of Recording trumpets to have Fullerton engraving. 

Comes with an original Olds case in very good condition.  It also includes the original lyre, Olds 3 mouthpiece, keys, and original paperwork.  It has a very mild vintage horn smell, but not overpowering.  The latches spring and catch.
