1967 Selmer K-Modified 24B Bb trumpet

1967 Selmer K-Modified model 24B  Bb trumpet 

This is a Selmer K-Modified Bb trumpet made in Paris  in 1967 at the height of the popularity of this model in the US.  It has 24B on the underside of the mouthpiece receiver which denotes a medium-large bore or .458.  

Most of the Selmer trumpets of this era were lacquer, but this one still wears it's original silver plating, with a number areas of wear as shown in the photos.  It also has  a number of small dings and dents as well as signs of dent work on the bell crook.  This trumpet does not appear to have been abused, but it has been played a lot over the years.

Valves are fast and smooth; slides are smooth; and valve compression is good, but it benefits from heavier valve oil which will be included with the trumpet.     Has a nickel silver leadpipe and nickel silver slide tubes  as well as the signature 1st slide trigger.   

Does not come with a case.
