1969 Bach Stradivarius Model 38 M bore Bb trumpet
This is a Medium Bore model 38 bell Bach Strad that was made in 1969. It has been recently serviced and cleaned and is in very good original condition.
It has the features of the legendary early Elkhart Bachs – A side seam one piece Corporation bell and two-piece valve casings.
It was recently acquired from the family of the original owner and information from the family indicates that it was played regularly for a few years and then stored and played occasionally for the last 45 years or so. There is evidence of dent removal in the bell flare and specks of lacquer wear throughout the instrument. The leadpipe has more lacquer wear than the rest of the horn, but the inside of the pipe looks good. There may be the start of red rot showing on the inside of the pipe, but likely it has decades of life left it kept clean. Valve compression is excellent.
Comes with the original case in very good condition.
