1969 Bach Stradivarius MLV-72 Vindabona Bb trumpet
This is an early Elkhart Bach Stradivarius "Vindabona" Bb trumpet in good original cosmetic condition and excellent playing condition. It has the standard configuration for this model with a 72 bell and 43 leadpipe with a medium-large dual bore through the tuning slide.
It has the features of the legendary early Elkhart Bachs – A side seam one piece Corporation bell and two-piece valve casings.
The trumpet is straight with no signs of dent or solder repair. The original lacquer is showing a fair amount of wear, particularly on the leadpipe. The inside of the pipe looks good and the lacquer wear does not appear to have any correlation with red rot, but we found one tiny pinkish dot on the out side of the pipe that is certainly red rot. This area is circled in one of the photos. It is very common to find a spot of red rot on these vintage Bachs, but this minor defect will likely not cause a problem for many years as long as the pipe is kept clean.
Valve compression is excellent.
Comes with the original case in good condition.
