This is a 1978 Olds P13-T Clark Terry model trumpet in good original condition. 

The Clark Terry model trumpet and flugelhorn are among the rarest and most sought-after Olds models. Even though these were among the last instruments made by Olds, they were made in such small numbers that they are hard to find. While there is a widely held belief that quality suffered near the end of the Olds production, the professional level horns such as this one was still made to the highest quality standards.  

 This model only appears in the 1977 Olds Catalog.   The Clark Terry model is a medium-large bore (.460) trumpet with lightweight brass construction. The bell is of Olds "Ultra Sonic" design as engraved on the leadpipe. Ultra Sonic was a one-piece brass construction method used for the bell construction.   

 First slide saddle and third slide finger ring with screw stops.

This particular trumpet had tired lacquer, so it has been stripped and polished.  The valve compression was weak, so we had the valves replated/refitted.   There is some wear to the brass at the hand hold areas, but rather than buff down any metal, we left it as is when stripped.    All slides are smooth.  This horn is in excellent playing condition.
