2005 Lawler C7 Bb trumpet
The C7 is modeled after the Martin Committee with a step bore design. Lawler used a Getzen valve cluster, then crafted the rest of the horn, spinning his one bells.
This C7 is an MLS bore or #1 bore (.460) It has a 1A leadpipe and its venturi opening is .345. It features a#3 bell, 4 ¾”, which is a close rendition of the original Martin bell.
This C7 is #0827 completed on 10/3/05 in Decatur, Tennessee.
This trumpet has a brushed gold lacquer finish with minor wear to the lacquer on the first and third valves. There are no dents or damage, and valve compression is excellent.
Roy Lawler made 1,500 trumpets, cornets and flugels, ceasing production in 2017.
This trumpet is being sold for the second owner who describes the horn as "dark but brightens up nicely when you step on the gas making it a versatile player for many settings."
Comes with a compact hard case in good condition. The longer bottom caps do not fit well in the case, so must be removed when using the case. There is a storage compartment that works well for storing the bottom caps.
