2015 Calicchio 2/7 ML bore Bb trumpet

This is one of the last Calicchio trumpets made by master craftsman John Duda. It was ordered in raw brass in 2015. It has a #2 bell, which has a larger throat than the more famous 1S bell.  The bore is .460, medium-large. 

It has been recently plated by Anderson's Plating .

2 bell:

This bell has slightly larger flare than the 1s bell, which gives it a broader core, while still generating that burnished, vibrant Calicchio sound. #7 leadpipe - 0.344" venturi

One of Domenick's original designs, this leadpipe brings more resistance to the front of the horn. The 7 pipe produces a warmer sound with a bit more to blow against. It's a wonderful leadpipe for more intimate situations.

This trumpet is being sold on consignment for a noted brass repair technician who has provided this description of the trumpet:

 It didn't play quite the way I wanted so I put it aside and sort of forgot about it. Last year I decided to get it out and try some other Calicchio leadpipes on it, settling on a #7, which plays very well. I'd describe the tone as 'big, with an edge.'  I now know of three of these horns on which the #7 pipe is definitely the best. Bigger bell, smaller pipe = balance. 

 I cleaned it up and had Anderson Silver Plating plate it in silver. It has very little play time on it.  I played it on some rehearsals and gigs to tweak it and make sure it was right. The tuning slide water key features a 'Harmonic Water Key Plug', made by BAJOC Music in Michigan which further amplifies tone quality.

Does not come with a case, but we can provide a generic case if needed.
