1907 Boston Three Star "Ne Plus Ultra" cornet SN 18060 SOLD

This is a Boston 3 Star cornet in very good condition.   The silver plating appears to be original and is in excellent condition.   There are no signs of dent or solder repairs.   The valve plating and compression is excellent, so likely they were replated/refitted in the past.  All slides are free and operating smoothly.  The cornet comes with what appears to be an original wooden coffin case showing its age, but fully functional.

This cornet comes with both an A and Bb leadpipe but does not include a mouthpiece.

Also coming with this cornet is an original Boston Musical Instruments "Price List" which is actually a  complete 48 page catalog of all the brass instruments and services that were offered.  There is no date on the catalog, but the prices suggest that it is from the same era as the cornet.

This is another instrument from the Rick Baptist collection.  Although Rick does not have any personal history with this horn, it is one of many collectible instruments acquired during his long career.
