This is a professional level trumpet made when Buescher was one of the leading brass manufacturer in Elkhart nearly 100 years ago. It is in stunning original condition. The model 10 was the top of the line model when it was made. It is marked LP for Low Pitch, because the now obsolete High Pitch was still being phased out when this trumpet was made. It features an extra section in the tuning slide to play in A, and the valve slides have a mark to be pulled out for A.
This trumpet wears a satin silver finish, which was common at the time for higher end instruments and there is no wear or damage to the plating. In addition, it has excellent hand burnished gold inlay on the bell engraving as well as a gold wash bell.
The case includes all components of the original kit, less a mouthpiece. There is an original True Tone mute, cleaning rod, grease, lyre and a cornet mouthpiece adapter. The case is in very good condition.
The only real flaw to this package is that the valve pistons are quite stained and worn. Valve plating in this era was not the same as it was a little later, but the valve compression is acceptable so this trumpet can be played as it is without the expense of a valve replating.
