1996 Calicchio 1S2 B flat trumpet SN 5883 SOLD

This is a 1996  Calicchio with a 1s bell and a 2 leadpipe.

Made in Hollywood, this silver plated  Calicchio 1s2  Bb trumpet is in excellent condition.  Hardly a mark on this trumpet which is being sold for the family of the original owner, who played it very little.  Valve compression and action is like new and all slides operate smoothly.  This trumpet is about as close as you can get to a new Hollywood-made Calicchio. 

The gap needed to be adjusted and the valve guides are a bit noisy for Calicchio's of this era, so we sent it to Charlie Melk to have the gap adjusted as well as modify the valve guides for quiet action. 

 The slightly broader flared bell of the 1s gives projection, focus, pitch and tone that set the standard for studio playing. The valve compression is perfect and the slides are perfect as well. It has a medium-large bore (0.460”) and a lightweight 4.750” bell. 

Comes with a 2 leadpipe which is an excellent match for the 1s Bell.
