This is a 1921 New Wonder cornet that is not marked as an 80A, but a few years after it was made, Conn labeled this the 80A cornet. This particular cornet has been restored in the past with new plating and rebuilt valves. It is in very good playing condition. Unlike many Conns of this era, it has the mechanism intact to quickly convert from Bb to A.
The mechanism operates smoothly, as do the valves, slides and micro-tuner.
It does not come with a mouthpiece, but has the original case that has been restored on the interior, but retains its original character on the exterior with remnants of college and other decals.
The silver plating is a satin finish with polished accents and the interior of the bell flare has been restored in gold wash as would have been the finish on the highest quality models that Conn was making at that time.
