This is a vintage LeBlanc trumpet that is in very good original condition. The 770 Gozzo is a medium large bore (.460) model that was the signature model of famed trumpeter Conrad Gozzo. It has a one piece yellow brass bell, nickel-silver inner slide tubes, and engraving not only on the bell, but also scroll engraving on the top and bottom caps and ferrules on the slides.
The horn is in excellent playing condition with smooth slides and excellent valve action and compression.
There are a couple of dings as well as a number of small areas of lacquer loss but the original lacquer has held up very well and has an excellent overall appearance.
Although sold and marketed by LeBlanc, this and other LeBlanc models of this era were made by Courtois in France.
Beneath the serial number on the 2nd valve it says "MADE IN FRANCE". The model "770 Gozzo ML" can be found on the lead pipe. There is engraving all the way up the bell extending past the valves. The engraving is of flowers and leaves with the words "G. LEBLANC PARIS" engraved on the bell. There is beautiful scroll work all the way around the edge of the keys and valve caps both on the top and bottom. There is also scrolling on all of the tuning slides. The trademark vintage medallion on the tuning slide brace has the two raised heads on it and the words "LEBLANC PARIS MANUFACTURE ARISTIQUE INSTRUMENTS DE MUSIQUE".
The trumpet comes with a non-original hard case in very good condition. The ad shown in the photos is not included with this trumpet, but is shown for informational purposes.
