This is a 1938 Los Angeles Olds Super Bb trumpet in excellent original condition.  The lacquer is pretty much gone, but other than that and a replacement first valve slide saddle, this is a completely original horn.   Valve action and compression is excellent. 

This trumpet was made early in the production of the Super Model and while the vast majority of Supers were .460 bore (LM, Large Medium) this one is in somewhat rare .453 Medium Bore.  Although medium bore horns are no longer as commonly used, they still have their place.   This horn has a very sweet and clear tone and would be excellent for small ensemble or recording work.        These early Supers are considered some of the best Supers ever made. Compared to post-war horns, this is a lighter weight horn.   

This trumpet clean inside and out. All slides are smooth. Engraving is sharp and clear. Matching serial numbers on the valve spring barrels, valve stems and top caps.    Does not come with a case but we can provide a generic case if you need one.
